We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2023. Lovely host and quick to respond to any queries. Whilst the property may be dated, it worked well for our budget and was kept clean. Please Note there is no air con but you will be provided with a standard room fan (probs not ideal when temperatures reach 30+) The view of the lake was mesmerising and the location was perfect, near the ferry and bus station. Breakfast was simple, coffee and croissant being the highlight; And overall service was good. Thank you!
Avoid, avoid, avoid. If you like soggy microwaved food you'll love it. Had to send back a poorly presented breaded chicken (half a breast) and chips, which at €17 was overpriced. The restaurant owner then tried to charge us for the food we sent back and weren't willing to eat, saying the items couldn't be removed from the bill as it had already been processed. Only upside was the lake side location.
Nice waiter. Made us feel very comfortable, suggesting good options in the menu. Food and drink were great, very well prepared. Place is chill and with lake view. Such a pleasant experience.
Horrible experience with the restaurant.
Stressed out and busy waiters. Got served after 4 other tables that got there after us.
Food — really bad, especially for Italy. Our friend ordered a porcini pasta, and it was made out of dried champignons. The staff was very rude, they offered us ti see the garbage been to check that these were indeed porcini! (Our friends refused to eat the pasta because it was inedible and so they thrower it away). After a long discussion trying to make a point, the staff still charged us for the pasta. This is inconceivable, no decent restaurant in the world would charge for a plate of food the customer didn’t like and didn’t eat. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
To all the future guests, please go to the nearby Giglio restaurant, your experience will be 10x better
Didn’t stay in the hotel but stopped for aperitif. We had a cocktail and bruschetta. Service was, as to be expected, exclusively in Italian and wasn’t a hassle at all. The bruschetta was really delicious. The view on the terrace is breathtaking as well. Despite the other reviews, we had a nice time here but do take in mind that we didn’t eat a full meal here. In short: lovely for drinks!!
We went to have lunch there on Saturday. The staff was extremely rude.
The first waiter we got was Argentinian and actually really nice.
However, when his shift changed the next waiter we got shouted at as insulted us and even menaced to hit one of my friends. They even over charged us.
We were waiting more than 30 mins for coffees when we asked about it, the waiter started saying me were impatient s****d tourist (and a bunch of other swear words). Worst part is we actually live in como lol. Long story short they never brought the coffees. When we went to pay the bill they charged us all the coffees and desserts we hadn’t even ordered. When we asked they waitress she started insulting us again and menaced my friend. Had never experienced such terrible service.
A lovely place to stop on the opposite side to Bellagio. Waterside tables, great views and drinks at half the price. We only had drinks but the menu looked good.
I didn't stay but they have a restaurant and we stopped for lunch. Their restaurant is THE WORST thing ever. Avoid at all cost. I order pasta al pesto and it was microwaved!! You could see that brown and hard pastas and some extra soft. I dont know the hotel but don't eat there
